How to replace the gasket on a SMEG dishwasher

To replace the door seal on a SMEG dishwasher , you need to follow a few simple steps. No special tools are required.

• Unplug the dishwasher .
• Open the door and remove both baskets .
• The seal follows the internal perimeter of the frame , along the sides and top of the opening. This is why it's called perimeter. It's held in place by a special groove.
• Notice how it is inserted , so you can apply the new one in exactly the same way.
• Then you can remove it by pulling it away with your hands starting from one of the lower ends.
• Insert the replacement part manually , pressing it into the groove, always starting from a lower corner. Make sure it is secured on the right side and that it fits snugly, without protruding.
• Close the door to check that everything is working properly.
